The Brief
PELE Energy Group — a South African renewable energy company focused on developing, owning, and operating clean energy projects including solar, wind, and battery storage — commissioned ROW.D to document its 15-year milestone anniversary event in Johannesburg. As a prominent Independent Power Producer driving local economic development and community upliftment through subsidiaries Pele Green Energy and Knowledge Pele, this anniversary represented a significant moment in the company’s history — a formal recognition of 15 years of contribution to South Africa’s energy sector and the communities it serves.
The evening was hosted by comedian Donovan Goliath, with DJ Shimza providing the soundtrack, creating an atmosphere that blended celebration, reflection, and forward momentum. A formal awards ceremony formed the centrepiece of the programme, honouring employees who have been part of the organisation’s journey across 15 years and celebrating the achievements of PELE’s five founders.
The Challenge
The venue — Westcliff, Johannesburg — required the production team to work across a dynamic evening event environment with changing lighting conditions, a live DJ, a live host, and the natural unpredictability of a large celebration in full swing.
What ROW.D Delivered
Post-production across all three deliverables was completed over two weeks — with editing, colour grading, sound design, and music applied to produce outputs that reflected both the professional stature of PELE Energy Group and the genuine warmth of the occasion being marked.
